Christmas cards

This year I made some Christmas cards although I still don't know if I have enough but if not I'll have to resort to using bought ones from previous years.

So much for being more regular in posting!!  I had trouble with my laptop when I put down my cup of tea on a not-flat surface and it went all over it!  I'm not really happy with this one but with having Niel's available as well I'm getting by...

I have been trying to make a few more cards for a couple of friends to use.  One is a school chaplain and last Friday, which was World Teachers Day she gave each of the teachers one of my cards and she told me this morning at church that they were all very appreciative of them.  So not only were they encouraged but I am too.

I love Jennifer McGuire's work and have her blog bookmarked and in my feeds, just to make sure I don't miss anything! I was really inspired by this card and made my own version.  I changed the position of the butterflies to cover the words 'cannabis' and cannibal'!!  I added a punched border for a challenge at Chook Scraps.

Since I have a couple of followers maybe I should blog more regularly. 

Today we helped Erica (our 2nd daughter), Dave and kids to a new unit.  It is closer to my parents' house (which was in the opposite direction from where they were before) so I should get to see them a bit more often too, now.  Niel and I are feeling a little weary but at least we don't have 2 little ones to try to get to sleep in a new place.

One of these days I'll have to start adding some of my cards and/or scrapbooking pages too.

A Grandson!!

After 3 granddaughters we now have a grandson, Zachary Joel, born to Erica and Dave on 23 Mar 2010 at 9:21pm and weighing 3815g (8lb 7oz).  He is just gorgeous and now that they are home, and she's had time to get used to him, Leila loves to sit and watch him sleeping. 

Just started a blog 'cos I can and so it might be easier to follow other friends' blogs.
